Our Australian made acrylic fixed windows are ideal for horse floats, caravans, motor homes and 4WD canopies. They can be manufactured to any size, so they are completely customisable to suit your exact requirements, making this a very versatile product. They are also easy to install and simple to clean, allowing in a lot of light, but can also be tinted if needed.
Features of our acrylic fixed windows
One of the great features of these windows is that when they are installed they lie flush with the side wall of your vehicle or canopy, giving them a very modern appearance. However, since these acrylic windows are manufactured to be flat, if you want a curved window it will need to be made from polycarbonate (which we also supply). As an aside, curved windows are ideal for horse floats or any other vehicle where you would like more light but have been stymied by a curved wall. We also have fixed windows made from toughened safety glass, which are ADR compliant. This latter range of fixed windows are made by Versatal, a Canadian company that is well-known to manufacture high quality glass windows.
Another useful feature of these acrylic windows is that you have options for the tints. The clear and untinted version lets in a lot of light, but you can also have these windows designed with a light or dark tint. The type of tint you select depends on your needs, however, if your vehicle is sat in the sun for long periods of time with people or animals inside, it might be a good idea to have the window tinted to some degree, rather than left clear.
The aluminium frame of the acrylic fixed windows is powder coated (black, mill or white) and the corners of the frame can be either square or rounded. These corner shapes give you two good options for your windows because you can match their design to your vehicle’s existing windows. Whilst the exterior of the frame is flush with the wall of your vehicle, the inside has a rubber flange where you apply the adhesive to help keep the window securely in place.

Measurements of your new fixed window
Whilst these fixed windows can be custom made to suit your required dimensions, you need to remember to subtract 3mm from both the width and the length that you order so that it will fit correctly. Conversely, if you are installing a window where there isn’t currently an existing window, then you need to make the cut-out 3mm bigger for both the width and length of the window you have ordered. Other measurements that may be useful are the window depth (10mm) and the flange depth (12.5mm) and the UV protected tints are 4.5mm in thickness.
