Getting the best out of Fixed Glass Canopy Windows
To get the best out of our fixed glass canopy windows you need to ensure that you take the correct measurements. So for installation, the cut-out needs to be 3mm larger than the width and the length of the cut-out. This means that when you’re replacing one or more fixed canopy windows, the size of the window you order needs to be 3mm shorter than the size of your cut-out. If you can’t match one of our standard sizes to your cut-out (minus 3mm all the way around), then give us a call to discuss a custom window. However, if you are building your own trailer or canopy, then you can make the cut-out any size, just as long as it’s 3mm larger than the window you order. If you have any problems deciding which size windows to order for your project, just give our friendly team a call and we’ll help you to select the right size.

Applications of our fixed windows
Not everyone wants all their windows fixed, many prefer a sliding window or a mixture of both fixed and sliding. The benefits of fixed windows is that they are more affordable than sliding windows and because they are fixed, they don’t have any moving parts, so they are easy to install and keep clean. They are ideal for areas where you want more light, but don’t need an opening window to bring in a breeze. This makes them particularly suitable for horse floats, RVs and caravans. Fixed canopy windows are also well suited to Ute canopies, because many tradies don’t need sliding windows in the back of their Ute, but still need some additional light so they can find what they need easily. Another benefit of fixed windows is that they provide an unobstructed view from the back of your RV or caravan, so they are definitely useful in many different ways.
